Monorail Above Flower Festival Display — 2008

One of my “most favorite” sites to visit is the Epcot park in Disney World, Orlando. A few days ago (May 29, 2008) I visited again, with the particular purpose of observing Epcot’s Annual Flower and Garden Festival. Each year brings a different perspective, different topiary characters, and without fail a profusion of flowers in bloom. As expected, it was its usual incredible show.

I took a lot of pictures, particularly of the Topiary sculptures, which were placed throughout the Park. At the butterfly garden site, there was two large topiary butterflies. Right next door to the butterfly garden was a topiary of Pluto with his doghouse, enclosed with a wooden fence. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto (with their surfboards on the beach) served as an introduction at the Entrance to the Park. Other disney characters were strategically placed throughout the park.

Some of the pictures of the topiary sculptures have been placed on one of my Squidoo sites. Visit the site if you would like to see them. Whatever you plan for next year in your travels, check out what is happening at Epcot. Epcot is fabulous any time of the year, but is particularly beautiful during each year’s Annual Flower And Garden Festival.
