Welcome to Everything Travel, a blog where we can talk about anything and everything dealing with travel.
The world seems to get smaller every year. And, if you’re like me, you want to see as much of it as you can in your lifetime. I grew up in a small North Georgia town, where most people’s idea of travel was to go an hour or two away “down to Atlanta”. By the time I graduated from High School, I think I had only been in the states of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, and Florida. [ I don't include the state of "Confusion" -- That's another story!].
Boy, did that change when High School was over! My first summer after graduating, I spent in Mexico living with a college friend’s family. It was there I learned my first Spanish, a language in which I am now fluent. Two years later, I am roaming over Europe for a summer. Since that time I have been in a total of twenty seven countries, including living a summer in India. I normally wouldn’t be so precise, but while playing around with FACEBOOK, I used their “cities I visited” plug-in and found I had been in at least 486 cities in 27 countries. Wow! I guess I do like to travel.
Anyway, my favorite activities are traveling and writing. I have tried to tie the two together and hopefully have fun (and maybe make some money) while doing it. You’ll hear more about my traveling and my writing as time goes on. So, I’ll catch you on the next post!
